More Melodic Patterns

G Major Scale (4 note forward pattern). I will call this a 3-1-2-3 pattern.

Try to invent more melodic patterns yourself, like 3-4-2-1, 1-6, 6-1, etc. You will be amazed at the sound you can create as you invent more and more permutations for your playing.

You can also add a flat(b) note before or after a target note in an arpeggio.

After you get familiarized with the melodic patterns you have invented, try applying this to all 15 positions of the major scale. Yes, there are 15 positions. Normally people practice 5 shapes or 7 modes of the major scales. But there are actually 15 positions that provides you with the full coverage on the fretboard. Will cover that next time.
